The mission of the Veteran Association of the First Corps of Cadets is to preserve the artifacts and archives and to promote the history of one of our nation’s oldest continuously active volunteer militia units, which was established in 1741. The 211th Military Police Battalion of the Massachusetts Army National Guard is currently the “First Corps of Cadets”. Since 9/11 units of the Active Corps have been deployed almost continuously at home and abroad in support of the Global War on Terror and to enhance the safety and security of large public events such as the Boston Marathon and the Boston Pops Fourth of July Concert on the Esplanade in Boston.
