Michelle Abrams
Craig W.C. Brown Curator
Ms. Abrams is the Craig W.C. Brown Curator at the Museum of the First Corps of Cadets. She graduated with honors from Bridgewater State University with a B.A. in communications. She also has an M.A. in art history from George Mason University, where she specialized in American Gilded-Age painting.
Before coming to the VAFCC, Ms. Abrams interned at the Army Historical Foundation in Arlington, Virginia. She assisted with research inquiries and historical research, and edited On Point: The Journal of Army History. After her time at the Army Historical Foundation, Ms. Abrams began volunteering at the National Guard Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., where she became a specialist in military uniforms and firearms. Her duties included assisting with administrative work, cataloging objects, assisting researchers, exhibit design, providing tours to the public, and curatorial work. Ms. Abrams has also interned at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Wallace Anderson Gallery in Bridgewater, MA.
Ms. Abrams is the author of "The Iron Men of Metz: the 95th Infantry Division," and “PFC Michael J. Perkins” published in On Point: The Journal for Army History (2017, 2019).
